Gulgong man pleads guilty to extensive stock theft

A 37 year old Gulgong man pleaded guilty in Mudgee Local Court this week to the theft of 111 cattle, ending a year long investigation by officers from the NSW Rural Crime Unit. Also this morning, the prospects for a record canola harvest this season, a bale of wool sells for $13,000 at Yennora raising funds for the charity Red Kite and a Nyngan halal meat processor will undergo a $500,000 expansion with the assistance of a state government grant.
